Chimney

In the winter, a fireplace can be the focal

point of your home, providing families and friends with warmth and comfort.

When you are not using your fireplace, the chimney top can be sealed shut to avoid heat loss, cold drafts, and invading critters like birds and

raccoons looking for a warm place to nest.

Energy savings is a top priority for most

homeowners. Government figures show that 14% of the energy leaves through the fireplace and out the chimney, even with a brand new in-throat damper.

Older homes tend to have rusted or broken dampers, costing homeowners

up to forty percent of their paid-for heat.
